The Alias team carefully plans and coordinates each professional photography session, customizing every shoot to ensure optimal results for a given brand and its objectives. To do that, our experienced photographers and creative experts will take several steps, including (but not limited to):
Conducting Brand Discovery: We will connect with your team to dial into your brand’s values, target audience, and the overall goals to start developing the creative direction for the photo shoot. As part of brand discovery, the Alias team takes time to truly uncover the purpose and objectives at hand, so that we can make informed recommendations and plans for each session.
Selecting Locations & Creating the Shot List: Next, the Alias team will plan out the photo session, detailing the shot location(s), models and subject matter, costumes, lighting needs, and more. At this phase, storyboards may be created, especially for more complex shoots, to detail the visual narrative that the images will communicate and how they may come together to tell a rich story about the brand.
Coordinating Talent, Props & More: Our photographers and brand experts will book, rent, obtain, and otherwise leverage the assets needed for the photography session. Skilled at balancing many moving parts, our team can make sure that models, stylists, and other behind-the-scenes pros will be available for photography shoots, so the final images are nothing short of brilliant.
Securing Necessary Permissions: If permits, special access, or other permissions are needed for some aspect of the shoot, Alias will take the required steps ahead of time to assure access for minimal disruptions, delays, or hassles on the day of the shoot.
Devising the Creative Direction: Mood, angles, visual strategy, and the overall creative direction for the photography session will be dialed in. Our creative experts may refine the shot list at this point, conducting follow-up meetings with clients to walk through the creative direction, revisions, and final details before the scheduled session.
Taking Test Shots: Before the high-concept photography session kicks off, our creative team will snap some initial test shots to make sure that the composition, camera angles, lighting, and more are all ideal. If adjustments need to be made, those final touches will occur before the photography shoot begins.

The high-end photography sessions that Alias provides are NOT measured or cut off at a certain the minute or hour. There’s also not “standard” timeframe for these sessions because:
Every photography session is customized to the client and brand at hand.
Some sessions will include drone videography and additional services.
Other clients may want specific locations, shots, or subjects included in their sessions, with some bigger shoots planned over a few days or longer.

Alias always goes the extra mile to deliver the best images, photos, and results for every client. Sometimes, that can mean doing reshoots and scheduling follow-up photography sessions because factors out of our control, like weather, interfere with the plans.
With that said, our team also works proactively to minimize the potential need for reshoots through meticulous planning, monitoring, and communication leading up to the photography session.
